Thirty-nine revolutionaries: Number of signers of the U.S. Constitution. The thirty-ninth chapter of The Awakening: Source for my five examples of rhetoric. Although just about any chapter of The Awakening could be used as a reference for many literary devices, I thought that the final moments of the book and of Edna Pontellier’s life would be the best places to look.
